Church History
 | 1924 Baptist in Prospect area began to meet at Davis
Memorial Presbyterian Church each third Sunday at 3:00 PM for worship
services. |
 | 1925 A Church was organized and called Glenn Memorial
because Mrs. Etta Glenn gave one acre of land to build the Church on. |
 | 1944 After many years of having services every third
Sunday, the Church began having Sunday School every Sunday and went into a
church field with Elon Baptist Church in Pamplin, with preaching services
every second and fourth Sundays. |
 | 1970 Elon Baptist church went full time and Glenn
Memorial entered a church field with Salem Baptist Church. |
 | 1972 and 1986 Additions were built onto the church. |
 | 1987 Glenn Memorial became a full time church. |
 | 1988 Glenn Memorial bought 11 acres of land on Route
652, one-tenth mile from Route 460. |
 | 1996 Glenn Memorial voted to build a new church building
on the 11 acre site. |
 | 1997 Construction began on the new building. |
 | 1998 In September, the congregation moved into the new
building. |
 | 2002 Paid off the loan $110,000 from the Virginia
Baptist Foundation. |
 | 2003 Reverend Robert Edwards retired after serving from
January 1st, 1989 to April 30th, 2003. |
 | 2004 Reverend David Peppler became pastor on July 11th. |
 | In September 2004, Glenn Memorial paid off the remaining
construction loan from Citizens Bank. The note had been for $70,000. |

 | 2009 Reverend Ethan Waters became pastor on May 24th, 2009. |
